20 years international experience in the oil and gas industry, specialising in Regulatory compliance. Having hands-on experience and extensive knowledge across all areas of the industry, including seismic acquisition, drilling, production and well interventions, Jonathan has been successful in ensuring that the companies he is associated with achieve their objectives and remain fully compliant.
He is a member of the Royal Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Solution Mining Research Institute (SMRI), the United Kingdom Onshore Oil and Gas Group (UKOOG) and the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Unconventional Oil and Gas. More recently, Jonathan, together with a number of likeminded business owners, founded the Onshore Energy Services Group, the purpose of which is to protect and promote the interests of UK SMEs who have and continue to support the exploration and production of oil & gas onshore UK.
Elizabeth has 20 years’ experience in town planning, in both the public and private sectors, eight of which working for the North York Moors National Park Authority. Her experience covers both development management and policy development and has been involved in high profile urban and rural developments across the UK.
She is responsible for compiling and coordinating planning applications and environmental impact assessments and submitting representations on emerging minerals planning policies across the UK on behalf of our clients. She also keeps Zetland Group abreast of current trends and policy changes relevant to the energy industry.
Elizabeth is part of the UKOOG Minerals Planning Group. She holds a BSc in Town and Regional Planning and is a Corporate Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
During his 20 years in the construction industry, Mat has worked on many major building and civil engineering projects throughout the UK. This includes power stations, petrochemical and waste to energy plants. Since joining Zetland Group in 2010, Mat has project managed the construction of wellsites to accommodate drilling and production operations throughout the UK. Projects include new wellsite construction, site extensions and wellsite restoration schemes, following the completion of the lifecycle of the well site production phase.
Working closely with Zetland’s planning, safety and environmental divisions, Mat is responsible for ensuring every client’s requirements are understood and delivered from conception through to completion, on time and within budget.

Tony has 12 years’ international experience in health, safety and environmental management, in both the public and private sectors.
Within Zetland Safety, Tony is responsible for the implementation of the Group’s business management system which incorporates HSEQ.
With respect to clients, Tony is responsible for the implementation and management of their respective management systems, including wellsite supervision, audits and inspections.
Tony holds a NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma in Environmental Management and is an affiliate member of IOSH
Following the introduction of the Environmental Permitting Regulations in 2010, Sean has worked alongside several onshore oil and gas operators to obtain the required environmental permits. At the same time, he has worked with the Health, Safety and Environment team to develop and implement safety documentation and safety management systems.
Within the group Sean plays a dual role advising within both Zetland Safety and Zetland Environmental
Sean holds NEBOSH general certificate and is on schedule to successfully complete his NEBOSH diploma (level 6) in Occupational Health & Safety in April 17. He is a Technical Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (TechIOSH).
Nigel has over 20 years of experience in environmental assessment and planning; 15 of which have been spent in the energy sector. He has considerable renewable energy experience which he now applies to authorise oil & gas development. Nigel has worked throughout the UK representing all of the major energy generators as both an advisor and manager of projects and as an expert witness at appeal.
Nigel is responsible for managing of accurate and complete environmental assessments to deadline and budget. Nigel co-ordinates the effort of tried and tested specialist across a range of environmental topics to deliver sustainable solutions acceptable to decision takers.
He keeps Zetland Group and clients abreast of European Union directive changes that transpose into UK regulation changes relevant to environmental impact assessment, planning and heritage protection.
Nigel holds a BA(hons) in Town & Country Planning, he is a Batchelor of Planning and has been a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute for 21 years.
Mark brings 13 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry to his role within Zetland Safety, specialising in the safety and environmental management of onshore drilling and production operations.
Mark is a qualified Internal and Lead Auditor OHSAS 18001: 2007. He also holds a BSc in Safety and Environmental Management and is a Member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management.
