Following completion of exploratory operations at a site in the East Riding of Yorkshire, the Crawberry Hill well site was successfully restored to its pre-existing condition as agricultural farm land in April 2016. The site was, in turn, handed back to the landowner, who confirmed that the restoration works had been completed to his satisfaction.
As always, the restoration works were completed under the management and supervision of Zetland Group’s construction manager. The well site is now subject to a five-year aftercare plan to monitor the reestablishment of the land for agricultural use. Following site restoration, an application has been submitted to the Environment Agency to surrender the environmental permits, in accordance with a site closure plan.
